Dorothy L. Quillman, 92, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 10:15 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson, Illinois. Born in Martin Township, Crawford County, Illinois on June 14, 1920, she was the daughter of Ray Waggoner and Flossie Fern (Neeley) Waggoner. She was employed with Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Robinson, Illinois and she was also a homemaker and farm wife. Dorothy was a member of Seed Chapel Church, rural Oblong, Illinois; she served on the Crawford County Clothing Center Board and she was also a member of the Oblong American Legion Auxiliary Post #219. Her hobbies included crafting, ceramics and shopping at garage sales.
Dorothy married Robert Holmes, who preceded her in death. On March 17, 1988, she married Dwight Quillman, who preceded her in death April 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Arthur and Keith Holmes; two sisters, Opal Gowin and Violet Wineinger.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter-in-law, Marsha Holmes; three grandchildren, Jeff Monroney, Sarah & John Birkofer and Cindy Williamson; five great-grandchildren, Bobby Kintner, Jenna Birkofer, Maralee Birkofer, Cory Williamson and Colton Williamson; two nieces; one nephew and several cousins.
Bro. Don Houdasheldt and Pastor Hiram Gonzalez will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
